Information Technology (IT) Division is headed by Joint Secretary. IT Section deals with upgradation of official website ensuring GIGW compliance, Coordination with NIC, Implementation of e-office, Cyber security matter, handling Department’s Social Media.

The Right to Information Act, 2005 (RTI) was assented by the President of India on 15.6.2005 and notified on 21.6.2005. Some of the Sections of the Act, namely, sections 4(10, 5(1) & (2), 12,13,15,16,24,27 & 28 relating to obligations of Public Authorities for maintenance and computerization of record/information.

The Retention Price-cum-Subsidy Scheme (RPS) stimulated indigenous production and consumption of fertilizers in the country.  To achieve greater internal efficiencies and global competitiveness, unit specific approach of RPS was replaced by a group-based concession scheme called the New Pricing Scheme (NPS) from 1st April 2003.
