Revival of Talcher unit by TFL:
Government mandated revival of Talcher unit through nomination basis by forming a Joint Venture company of nominated PSUs i.e. GAIL, RCF, CIL & FCIL. Accordingly, a Joint Venture named Talcher Fertilizers Ltd. (TFL) was incorporated with equity of GAIL, RCF & CIL in TFL is 31.85% each & FCIL’s is 4.45 % for setting up gas based Ammonia urea plant of 12.7 LMTPA capacity. TFL plant is based on Coal Gasification Technology. The synopsis of the Talcher project is given below: -
