Namo Dron Didi

The Government of India introduced the Namo Drone Didi (NDD) Scheme to empower rural women and revolutionize farming by providing advanced drone technology to Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs). As part of the initiative, the Department of Fertilizers, in collaboration with 15 Fertilizer Manufacturing Companies (FMCs), distributed 1,094 drones to SHG members, designated as Namo Drone Didis. Of these, 874 Drone Didi's have actively deployed drones for fertilizer spraying, covering 79,701 acres and generating a total income of ₹2.84 crore.
